On the big island of Hawaii, you can visit an active volcano. You can go into parts of caldera and see the steam rising from vents in the crust. It can get very warm. At another place on the island you can actually watch hot live lava spilling into the ocean generating huge clouds of steam. It's an amazing, never to be forgotten scene.

On the island of Oahu, Waikiki Beach is the focal point for tourists. It's a bustling area with lots of hotels right on the beach and thousands of tourists. It's also the site of Pearl Harbor and the battleship Arizona memorial.
